Letters to the editor
Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology welcomes letters on topics of diabetes science and technology. Letters may be opinion pieces, responses to articles that have appeared in the journal, or brief reports about observations. Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology offers this forum to the diabetes technology community to facilitate communication of ideas intended for rapid dissemination.
Letters to the Editor should contain a maximum of 500 words, no abstract, a maximum of either a single table or a single figure (but not both), and a maximum of 6 references. Letters to the editor should be double-spaced and include a title page with all of the authors' full names, academic degrees, affiliations and full contact information. A corresponding author should be designated on the title page. If a letter addresses a previously published article, then the article on which the letter comments or responds to should be included as reference number 1 in the reference list. The Editor reserves the right to ask authors of the cited article to respond.
Letters to the Editor about diabetes science and technology will read by the Editor and if accepted, they will be copy-edited, proofread, and formatted for posting on the journal’s website. Letters will be normally be posted within one week of: 1) layout approval by the corresponding author; and 2) submission of a signed release form to the journal production editorial staff.
